How to Press Your WearLab DTF Prints
WearLab DTF prints are designed for easy, reliable heat pressing with professional results.
please note your prints arrive straight from being printed there is a coloured stripe down the side of the sheet - it’s important you cut this off before pressing as this is made of the same high quality product as your prints (unless you want a gorgeous permanent coloured line on your items!)
Recommended Settings
-
Cotton garments: 150°C
-
Polyester or poly blends: Slightly cooler (145–148°C recommended)
We use the DTF Station Flexi ink and powder system, which performs best at these temperatures and delivers strong adhesion with a soft finish.
Pressing Instructions
-
Pre-press your garment for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
-
Position the DTF transfer on the garment, image side up.
-
Press at the recommended temperature for 10–12 seconds using firm, even pressure.
-
Allow the transfer to cool, then peel (cool peel).
Second Press (Strongly Recommended)
For a more durable, professional finish:
-
Cover the design with a canvas sheet (preferred).
-
If you don’t have canvas, cotton fabric works in a pinch.
-
-
Press again for 5–8 seconds at the same temperature.
This second press helps:
-
Seal and prolong the life of the print
-
Improve wash durability
-
Embed the ink into the fabric for a smoother, higher-end finish
Allow the garment to cool fully before handling or packaging.
For best results, wait 24 hours before washing and wash inside-out on a cold cycle.
